The untrained, unfit and unwilling present a risk... Those with a mastery of skill, sharp mind, fit body and full heart present a resource. At the time of true test aim to be the best resource available so that the decision may rest in the moment and the benefit. Preparation of mind, body and skill lies within our control, the moment does not. ~ Fire Service Warrior 2011

Middle of September
P90X! That's what I'm starting. But because I know that I still have 3 races this year and want to become a better swimmer, I understand that I cannot commit to 90 days of one single program. So I am committing to 90 days of hardcore training with my end of season tri training. The added benefit to doing this now is that I'll be in good shape come Christmas - there will be no New Years Resolution of weight loss for me!
So for the next few months I'm going to change things up just a bit. There is a reason that triathlon is a season; to prevent overtraining and injury you've got to rest. I'll change things up a bit and then winter will be here... the perfect time for easy distance rides and easy runs around the area to simply enjoy what I see.
I still plan to run the Capital City River Run next weekend and then do more speedwork for the Pumpkinman Tri in Vegas (pretty excited about this race!)
I look forward to this couple of months.
Bring It!
